Renown Southern California artist, Susan Silton, created The Crowing Hens.

Six women, including lead whistler Carole Anne Kaufman, whistle with live accompaniment, an assortment of famous macho movie theme songs. Silton launched the ongoing Crowing Hens exhibit at LAXArt Gallery in Los Angeles, CA, in 2010.
